We welcomed Sr. Gerard Rasesia, a Roman Sister of Saint Brigid for 3 days starting on 29th August to provide us with a 3 day vocational retreat which was beneficial for our students. Sr. Gerard and I have known and worked with each other since 2006 when I was assigned to the Roman Church in the small village 2 hours from anywhere where the Sisters had their formation house and convent. Unfortunately, the convent closed in January 2018, ending almost 50 years of service in that village. Speaking of 50 years, Sr. Gerard will be celebrating her 50th anniversary of religious profession on the 14th of September and we shall be in attendance.
